Latest Updates from Our Project:

We have launched our next game!

Hello Dog Backers!   I wanted to take a quick moment to let you know that we here at Gray Mass Games have launched our second project: Senatus!   It is a fast paced, highly competitive game about controlling the politics of Rome circa 100 AD.  We are very excited about this project and all the art is done by the same artist (Diego Sanchez) that did the art for Dogs.  We hope you will head on over to the project page and take a look and maybe even add this game to your collection!

Dogs have Landed!!!!!
over 6 years ago – Mon, Oct 09, 2017 at 10:35:31 PM

Folks we have some great news!!!!   Our shipment made port this AM and is now sitting in Customs in the UK!!!!  WooHOO!!!!!   That means we move to the final stages of fulfillment for this project.  This is very exciting for us here at Gray Mass Games and more importantly means that you are all very close to getting Dogs in your hands!!!

So a couple of things triggered by today's news.  One is that I have closed the BackerKit for new or add on orders.  If you have payed for additional copies via a Credit Card you will see the charge hit today.  If there was an issue with processing that order you will be receiving an email asking you to address the issue.  If you can please do this as quickly as possible because we need to give our Distributor the final mailing list as soon as possible.

For those who paid for Add-Ons via Paypal your funds were collected at the time you ordered so no worries, you are all set.

Now the Add-Ons and Pre-Orders are locked but you can still change your address if you need to.  If you have moved in the last 30 days please go and check your mailing address and make sure we have the latest and greatest.

As soon as we confirm that the Games have cleared Customs we will let folks know and we should have a better idea when you can expect delivery.

Thanks for your patience everyone and making this project a huge success.

Dogs on the Ocean!!!!
over 6 years ago – Tue, Sep 26, 2017 at 12:29:22 AM

All,

Many apologies for the delay on an update but between GenCon, work, a move, a wedding, a surprise visit form my son and a heat wave the last 30 days or so have been..  well pretty full..  ;-)

However..  there is good news!  During all of that we received the second set of proofs from the publisher and they looked great!   We approved the proof and the printer completed the printing and loaded up the palettes!  But wait there is more!  Our palettes are on a BOAT (Well technically a Cargo Ship)!!!   Yup the games are officially at Sea and steaming their way to our distributor!   Currently we are anticipating that the ship will reach it's destination in early October and then it will need to be offloaded, clear customs and then off to distribution.  We are not sure of exact dates yet but will be able to update you once the ship make port.

We are so very excited as we get closer to fulfillment on this project!   We are excited to get Dogs in your hands and looking forward to hearing about your games and perhaps seeing some pictures!

We will post another update as soon as our ship docs which should be within the next 2-3 weeks.

And......... We are still waiting
over 6 years ago – Wed, Aug 16, 2017 at 11:07:52 PM

Hello everyone! Gary and I are currently on a plane heading to Indianapolis for GenCon 50 and I thought I would take a moment to post a quick update.

We had mentioned that the first proof from the printers had problems and we decided that we needed to have the cards reprinted as well as some other items. It appears that there have been additional issues which have delayed the reprint of the cards and components so we can see a second proof to make sure everything looks awesome before we release the game to the shippers. As a further complication the lead up to GenCon is a very busy time for printers and it seems we got bumped on the queue by larger game orders.

We are frustrated by these delays as all of you are I am sure but we would rather wait and make sure that the game and all it's components are printed and cut properly before we send them out to you. Our current expectation is that we should be receiving the second proof copy next week and as soon as we inspect it and it looks good we will release the games to the shipper and get some dates for arrival in the US and the UK.

Meanwhile we will be at GenCon for the next 5 days! If you are also attending drop us a note and perhaps we can get a game in! We will also be posting pictures of our adventures on our Facebook page so be sure to check that out as well!

We are almost there!!!!!

All,

Thanks to everyone who has filled out their BackerKit survey and a special thank you to those who have chosen to purchase additional copies of the game!  We are thrilled as punch!!!!!

We are currently holding at about 95% completion on the surveys.  We want to get everyone who backed us their copy of the game as soon as possible so if you have not replied to your survey please, please do so this week!

We did receive a proof of Dogs from the printer a couple of weeks ago and we did find some issues.  There were some quality and finish challenges that we thought were significant and have asked the printer to reprint the cards because of it.  We are waiting on a second proof copy to make sure all issues get addressed before we give it the OK to be released to the shippers.  We hate to delay the game but it is important to us that it meets or exceeds our expectations for quality as we would expect no less for a project we had backed.

Once we see the next proof and sign off on it we will have a better idea of the delivery dates to the UK and US.  We are going to go with a single fulfillment partner to reduce the costs of shipping so all pre-orders and pledge fulfillment will be coming out of the UK via GamesQuest.   They have been simply super to deal with and have an amazing track record!  They have AU, EU, CA and US friendly shipping rates so no worries about getting whacked with customs or VAT fees.

I hope everyone is having a great summer and will will let you know when we get our proofs proved and transition to shipping and logistics.
